How To Get Free Traffic To Your Blog…

Hey, everyone… I wanted to share some thoughts about the power of writing articles and how you can use them to promote your site and drive tons of free traffic to it. And not only will you get free traffic, but you will also gain higher rankings in Google by creating something called “back-links.”

Now, I know that not everyone out there would consider themselves a writer, much less a good writer, but I can suggest an easy and VERY inexpensive solution to that as well.

Ok, so you’re interested, but I’m sure you’d like some proof that article marketing actually works. So here it is… Hit the back button on your browser, and you will see that it was probably one of my articles that ultimately brought you here. And it has brought thousands like you here in the same way.

And I will proudly admit that I have received thousands of visitors to my blog and have never paid for any type of advertising. And for the way that Google has mis-treated Network Marketers by banning their sites and closing their youtube accounts, I have vowed never to give them any of my hard-earned money in the form of Pay-per-click or any other type of advertising that they offer.

But my feelings for Google are not one sided… I actually love Google… but for very different reasons. They actually give me the Free Traffic!

Here’s how it works. Google strives to give their users the best content available on the net in their search results. And keywords are what drives those search results. So by writing a keyword rich article and submit it to different directories, your article may be found by someone searching for information about that keyword(s).

So you can say that writing articles is a completely FREE form of advertising that Google will provide to you, so long as you follow some rules.

First, never submit the same article to more than one directory without changing the wording within the article. This “duplicate content” will be overlooked by Google and can have a negative effect on what you are trying to accomplish.
Second, is “relative content.” Always write about things that relate to your site or blog’s theme.

In other words, if you have a network marketing blog, don’t write an article about dogs and direct it back to your blog. This irrelevant content will confuse your readers and have a negative effect. If you want to write about dogs, start a separate blog, and direct traffic to it with separate articles.

Following these very basic rules will help you achieve rankings with Google as well.

Each time you submit an article, it should include a “resource box” at the end. An example would be: “For more info about Article Marketing, please visit http://briandowns.net and see how you can drive more free traffic to your site.”

This is the “back-link” that I talked about earlier. This is the link that will bring the visitors. The more back-links you create with different articles, the more popular your site becomes, and the higher the rankings you will achieve.

A good example can be found by doing a Google search for “Brian Downs.” You will see that I climbed to number one out of 2.9 Million results in a matter of 2 months simply by creating back-links through writing articles and submitting them to directories like GoArticles, EzineArticles, Buzzle, and UberArticles.
